His most recent biography was George Westinghouse (Algora 2006). Holding a PhD in Manufacturing Management (Univ. of Toledo), he has taught as an adjunct professor at Toledo, the University of Akron, University of Pittsburgh, and Robert Morris University. It invites the product of foreign cheap labor to this market in competition with the domestic, representing better paid labor [albeit with tariffs to protect that domestic product]. McKinley s vision built the industrial base of the nation. By the end of his presidency the American steel, glass, rubber, oil, machinery and electrical appliance industries dominated the world. He was one of America s most popular presidents. As his funeral train crossed the nation in 1901, factory workers and captains of industry alike stood along the rails to mourn him. Never since has such a political alliance between labor and management been forged. He was the last president to build a voting alliance between laborers, immigrant workers, and capitalists. That alliance was marred by famous labor strikes and the building of great trusts, yet he still managed to sweep the labor votes in the great industrial centers due to his belief in reciprocity and protectionism. McKinley 's role as a dinner pail Republican offers insights into how America can approach today 's globalization with the best interests of the home team in mind.s "manufacturing company of the year" and to Tom Peters' "100 Best-Managed Companies" list. Michael Savage is the host of The Savage Nation, a radio program that airs on over 300 stations nationwide. A self-described victim of "truth-in-mouth syndrome," he claims to be "the only man in the country saying it the way it really is." His stated purpose for writing the book is to save a "homosexualized, feminized America" from a liberal assault that is "unraveling the very fabric of this great nation." Declaring that "a minority of feminist zealots rule the culture," he blames Democrats and liberals for everything from a general decline in morals in the United States to bringing the Taliban to power in Afghanistan. Although one chapter is entitled "Crimes of the Democrats" (with special attention paid to Al Gore), Savage is no Republican stooge--this "bipartisan basher" reserves plenty of venom for the GOP as well, particularly regarding immigration, one of his favorite subjects. Savage calls for a severe tightening of U.S. borders and vigilant racial profiling in order to combat terrorism and the spread of infectious diseases. He also rails against liberal media bias, big government, the lack of prayer in schools, rampant pornography, the UN, the ACLU, and a host of social ills that he believes were caused almost exclusively by hippies in the 1960s and the Clinton administration in the 1990s. Like many talk-show personalities, Savage is confrontational, angry, entertaining, and prone to exaggeration, sometimes all at once. He can also be funny and sarcastic. But while he does offer some interesting observations and enough food for thought to make this slim volume worth a read, his book is essentially one long rant with precious little useful information to back up his often bombastic claims. Great condition and fast shipping! I ordered a lot of Michael Savage's books at once, and can't get around to all of them at once, but plan to go for this one next. It may be his first one; though I'm not sure. I've read some of the later ones, but the title of this sounds like it could be the first venture into his book-writing career, as it bears the title of his radio program. So, maybe getting into this one next will open some doors I haven't pursued with him yet, and explain some of his other writings I've explored!

Michael is saying what millions of average, everyday, grass roots American's feel in spite of what the intellectual elitist of the left say about him, and in spite of the way they try to protray and condemn him. Whenever anyone touches a nerve with them they begin the old character assassination game simply because they cannot fight him on the issues nor the truth of what is being said.Savage is no different than some of the raving maniacs of the far-left like Kristen VanDen Heuvel, Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel and Barbara Lee, who have said some of the most racist, hateful and disgusting things about conservatives for decades.Even though he presents his material like Jerry Springer might, it is no reason to discount it. So what if he acts like a teenager in a rage. Most people feel his frustration about what is going on in our country, society and communities today.Hillary Clinton talks about the people who impeached her hubby as perverting the constituiton, well she and those on the left like her and her husband have been doing so for 100 years and have mutilated it beyond recognition for their own benefit.Most Americans believe this, which is why they believe her book and more than likely the one coming form Bill are and will be actually works of fiction not fact.Of course most Americans just hold all of their frustration in and try to deal with it differently. Savage reminds everyone of that age old quote from a once popular radio commentator who told his audience, "go to your windows and stick your heads out and scream, I'm tired as hell...and I'm not going to take it anymore!"In Savage those upset with mindless liberalism, find a voice crying in the wilderness, albeit a pretty gruff, attack dog-like, pointed, straight-forward and costic one. He isn't afraid to stand up and say what they are thinking and so he resonates with the American people.I personally prefer the kinder-gentler more sophisticated and humourous attacks on failing liberalilsm and the democrats presented by Shaun Hannity, Bill Scarbourogh, Ann Coulter, Bill Bennett and Gerorge Will myself, but I can stomach Mr. Savage because he speaks the truth.Those who criticize him here are simply the partisans of the left letting loose their frustrations and anger at his popularity and support from the American public. So be it.It is an interesting if not a five star book. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and raised an origianl three to a four on honesty grounds. The truth hurts and angers the left.A good read for anyone who wants to know the undercurrents of dissatisfaction out here in the real America and not the halls of confustion and ineptitude in Washington D.C. and the political pundit circuits.

This book is excellently written and describes in depth the problems that we now face in America, especially in our political and government milieu.I loved the book. It is a tiny bit out of date, as many changes have occurred since it was written, but it is still what should be required reading for all who are interested in the "real news."As usual, Michael Savage is right on target. I appreciated the elusions to his background and his growing up time in the Bronx. He is a very bright man who is able to cut through the minusia[sic] of our everyday world and present options.I found the book thrilling, and I read it in only a few sittings, having difficulty putting it down. I think you would enjoy it also.If you enjoy listening to Dr. Savage on the radio, you will love to have this book to keep in your permanent library.

I bought this book for a stroke patient based on the description of large text. It is NOT large text. The font is small. Only the book is size is large. After a shirt period of frustration trying to follow the dots it the patient gave up. I would return it but it is now used.

I had another book similar to this one and loved it so when this one came out I ordered one for me, a friend and a family member.
