Even books for Dummies expects the dummy (me) to know all the computer functions. Regrettably much if the book was beyond my understanding. Sob

The book probably works for someone more learned in the Computer Jargon than I am. It's very thorough and well written, but I need someone to look over my shoulder and verbally help me figure out how to use Google Chrome to its fullest. Fine book for those who can use it.

This book is not too well organized with "how to do" but is extremely informative although it is "not a book for dummies." It is a book for an intelligent person who feels dumb when it comes to figuring out a new product, such as Chrome Books.

The book covered a lot of silly stuff that I'm not interested in and very little of the important things. It's also somewhat dated and the material doesn't quite match the latest software so there is some guessing and trial and error involved. e.g. I was trying to install and synchronize chrome on 3 different devices - desktop, laptop and tablet. This important topic is not covered. I did an online search and came up with a few clues. I eventually figured it out on my own by trial and error. I've looked through the books at Amazon and I haven't found an up to date no nonsense one that adequately covers the subject. I guess there aren't too many authors interested in the subject since Google is constantly changing and there material is outdated before it goes to press.

This book is divided into two parts. Part One is called "What You Need to Know Before Choosing a Summer Program," and Part Two is a summer program directory. I found that the two parts were inconsistent with each other, and here's why:I had very general expectations for this book. I thought that it was going to be a book that recommended a variety of programs from college prep to enrichment programs. And yes, Part Two of the book matched my expectations. However, I was taken aback by Part One, which was essentially talking about how to find a summer program that will get your teen ahead for getting into college. The focus was entirely on fast-tracking and how to get the attention of colleges, etc. The tone was not simply informational, it was like Tiger Mom tone, and I didn't like it. I didn't pick up this book to get lectured about how to push my teen son or daughter to overextend him/herself. At times Part One of the book addressed the teen directly, and I had to laugh, because the way it was written was not at all for a teen but for a teen's parents.So, since Part One was so intensely focused on jumping into the competitive college application rat race, I then expected Part Two to be listing only summer programs that supported this line of thinking. That was not at all the case. The summer programs included some that were for grades 3-12 (yes, elementary age), and some programs were just fun camps that were only 3 days long. Well, what happened to the Part One attitude about everything having to be focused on college prep? The book needs to be consistent, one way or another. Either be a book strictly about college prep, or be a book about more general summer programs. Also, if you're going to be so Tiger Mom in Part One, then you better not have grammatical errors in your book like using the phrase "comprised of." Ugh.I actually kind-of liked Part Two because there were a lot of programs I'd never heard of. But Part Two wasn't arranged very well. It was split up by state, with the states listed alphabetically. So the first state was Alabama, and it listed all the programs in Alabama; then came California and all its programs. Well, this just didn't make sense to me. If you're trying to find a Tiger Mom-pleasing summer program for a teen, you're not going to care what state the program is in. You're going to care what subject matter the summer program covers. There was no other way to look up information in the book. For a book like this, you need to have multiple ways to look up programs:-- By subject (math, engineering, veterinary, computer programming, music & theatre arts, etc.).-- By age range-- By geographic location-- By whether the program costs money or is free or pays students a stipendIt's really useless to list things only geographically, because I have to read THE ENTIRE BOOK just to see what programs there are. This type of book is a reference book. I shouldn't have to read the entire book just to glean the information that I need.For what the book has in it, it's pretty good, but the inconsistency between parts One and Two bothered me, and the lack of flexibility in looking up information was a huge drawback.

This book is designed to help teens choose a path to prepare for college, though the summer programs they can take to explore their interests. The first 50+ pages guide the teen (and their parents) though various topics to consider as they choose a program. I think this portion of the book is the most helpful.The remainder of the book lists programs, by state, that may be of interest to the teen, including web addresses to gain more information. It is not a comprehensive list, but rather a good starting place to identify summer learning opportunities.Overall, this book is an excellent resource for teens and parents as they consider early preparation for college.

This standalone is 🔥🔥🔥. I love how u did the flash back in the beginning giving us heads up on their bad start off. But my girl was dealt a bad hand at first that put her on the top at the end. And my baby heat I love the way he taken that hit for capro that shows loyalty, but in the end he came out on top of the world as well even with his girl ex burning down this barber shop and trying too take my girl and baby out for the count. I seen baby girl has some gangsta in her blood for her too save her momma but putting a bullet in his stomach. Ohhhh girl ex was bitch made he didn't have it in his blood to do the streets he complained way too much for me and did my girl wrong in the process. I got one question what happened to heat pin pal after his girl did that. But u did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of ur books

This was a good read, a more down to earth realistic approach to the hood. I hated Yoshi, he was not even a tough guy compared to Heat. You will definitely see where heat gets his name from because he brought it the moment he was released. The only thing that threw me off in this book was Mina reaching out to her dad for help, I'm expecting to see this big time drug dealer turned attorney that can make anything happen to hearing nothing else. The only other time they are mentioned is when heat approach them. Lay was the best friend every girl needs a true ride or die. The side chick jail chick just kind of disappeared but the story was good. I will read more from this author.

Thanks Taniece for completing the Mina & Heat love story, I was devastated and saddened when Heat took the charge for Capo, I understood and his time away have him time to grow up. Heat going to prison impacted Mina in a serious way her drinking I dressed and she was popping pills, not to mention Yoshi wasn't worth a quater, his inadequacy led Minaback I to Beat arms. I had a feeling Kaylee was Heat daughter. Lay &Capo were hilarious! I love the family concept. This book was definitely a page turner from start to finish!

I was waiting on this book cause I knew that Mina and Heat wasn't over. I didn't see how Mina could ever trust Yoshi after he came after Capo. I was glad he showed his true colors and Heat came back to get his family. The storyline was good and it kept my attention til the end. Now I need to get Cherice story cause you left that wide open. Great job

Heat and Mina love was so beautiful. Lay was a whole goon by herself😂😂😂. Capo was so nonchalant about changing those pills lmao. I kind of understood Yoshi side of everything. Did he take things too far yes he did. Imagine being lied to for 5 years by the person you loved. Mina should have been truthful from the very beginning.

Kaylee know what Yoshi was doing to her mama, she wasn't stupid she is her daddy daughter. Capo was trying to get Lay pregnant and what did she call Mina for what was she going to expect what she did. Mina went to buy Lay a pregnancy test. Mina put that good good on Yoshi, now he don't want to leave her alone.

Yoshi had to go and I knew that it wasn't his baby in book two I'm glad that heat finally learned his lesson before her lost Amina for good and he gained a daughter as well. Lay crazy ass capo finally but a baby in her all the couple's got there happy ending

Really enjoyed this standalone. I like Heat and Mina a together and so glad they found their way back to each other. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Held my attention from beginning to end. Would enjoy reading Cherice story. Good job Taniece.

I really enjoyed this book - unlike many sales books, its heavy on actual 'how to' and not another 90% filler fluff 10% meat sales book. I have noticed some saying this book is 'out of date' - it is in fact from the 80's and some of the jargon / styling is in fact out of date, but the principals and tactics still work because humans haven't changed. It's kinda like being critical of "The Body Language Bible" simply because it was written back in the 70's and has dated looking pictures and black and white photos - that's crazy. Body language is still the same!The chapter on Questions is worth the price alone. Many sales books gloss over over this while Hopkins deep dives into many types of questions, when to use them, their psychology, etc.

This book really answers a lot of unanswered questions for me. I have read this book multiple times. My only complaint about this book is somehow someway my friends steal this book from me when I'm not looking. The last copy I got I literally glued black construction paper over the cover and hid it on my bookshelf but somebody found it and stole it too. This is my 5th copy and this time I'm going to glue an exercise book cover to it, nobody like exercising, so maybe the 5th time is the charm.

This is a sales classic. I have read dozens (if not more) books on sales. Not many, or maybe none, get better than this. This book goes so in depth about everything sales related, it's crazy. This is almost like the Bible on sales. Read it cover to cover a dozen times inside of one year, I guarantee you'll be a six figure earner, no matter what sales you're in. Amazing book! A MUST for all salespeople.

Recently, I was reading an article about a very successful business-man and he mentioned that when he was first beginning, this book, How to Master the Art of Selling had been a tremendous help for him. It is now out-of-print, and thanks to Amazon Market Place, I was able to purchase it. This was a gift for a young, great-grandson who is just beginning to work in a sales job. I am told that as soon as he opened the package he began to read the book and that he was most pleased. I do not know how it has effected his sales!

Great book. A good reminder that being a great sales person is not about how many items you sell; it is about relationships with your clients & working with them is fill their needs. That is how you sell - take care of the client, & if they trust you, you will be their first choice when purchasing.

I am an original owner of the cassette program and workbook. After 15 years I've updated it to the CD version. Tom Hopkins is a master seller. The Kindle version is so I have the information close at hand when needed. Tom offers excellent suggestions, memory items and phrases, gives many examples of how to use the suggestions and memory items, and this a an excellent backup on Kindle.

I use this in my preschool classroom along with, Those Mean Nasty Dirty Downright but Invisible Germs, to teach about staying healthy. The kids love both books and want to hear them over and over. I like the importance of the fact that germs are invisible is made clear to them. My 3 and 4 year olds always do a better job washing after being made aware with the help of these books. Great pictures.
